History ![]() - 1979 - Burger Boy opens for business. 2009 was our 30th year in operation. - 1994 - April 29th 1994, Burger Boy was recognized for the Winning Ridership by the TEXAS BICYCLE COALLITION In the first Annual BIKE-TO-WORK Day "Texas Largest First-Time Bike-To-Work Event" - 2003 - In the September 2003 special issue of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Burger Boy was featured on their cover story, "The 100 things you gotta do before you graduate", as one of the ten best "MUST EAT" places in the USA - 2006 - In the November/December 2006 issue of TEXAS JOURNEY Burger Boy was featured on their cover story, "13 Texas Restaurants Worth a Road Trip." - 2007 - On August 28, 2007, The Brazos County Health Department presented Burger Boy with a CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION for outstanding performance and serving the public in a healthful manner after we received, "Three consecutive 100's scored on routine inspections." Burger Boy is the only restaurant in Brazos County, Texas, to have ever received this recognition. - 2011 - Burger Boy introduces the Get Hammered promotion giving Bryan/College Station a true food challenge. Anyone who can finish a fully loaded 3lb Hammer and fries in 45 minutes or less gets their money back, a t-shirt, and their picture on our Wall of Fame. Those who are unsuccessful get their picture on the Wall of Shame which is kept in the bathroom. The challenge is held each Tuesday night from 5-10pm. - 2011 - Burger Boy moves out of Northgate after 32 years & opens a new location at 4337 Wellborn Road in the Westgate Shopping Center.
