BURGER BOY was established in 1979. Our College Station, Texas store was opened in 1988 and since then we have been privileged to serve hundreds of thousands of Aggies.
Our menu has been constantly evolving around our client demands. On many occasions though we were able to influence and shape those demands by challenging the status quo with tasty unique and innovative new menu items. We have been serving FRIED CHEESE and FRIED JALAPENOS years before any national chain such as SONIC put them on their menu. We have been offering our exclusive GRILLED CHICKEN PITAS a decade before JACK IN THE BOX introduced them to their public. We have been serving Chili Cheese Fries (PAPAS) long before any of the national chains or any of the local restaurants had them on their menu. When WENDY'S was asking: "Where is the Beef?", BURGER BOY was dishing it out on bike deliveries to thousands of Aggies as the BIG ONE, a fully loaded 3/4 pound cheeseburger. As for sodas, you couldn't go wrong with Vanilla Cokes, Cherry Cokes, Cherry Dr Peppers, or Chocolate Cokes, made with our unique syrups, almost 12 years before McDONALD'S and the rest got in the game. We don't talk much about our local independent competitors as they would always have to eventually either follow, due to us raising the bar, or fold as so many of them have.
Nowadays our most notable and tasty burger is none other than "THE HAMMER", offered in two versions as either THE HAMMER 2.0 or THE HAMMER 3.0. Both come fully loaded in a 10x10x4 box with fries and cheese. A trully Texas size burger that will "Hammer" your hunger with its specially made sourdough bun, the two or three pounds of nicely grilled hamburger meat, layered with melted cheese, and balanced with generous amounts of dressing and veggies according to your individual taste and pleasure. A unique experience that is best when shared with friends and family.
From CHILI CHEESEBURGERS, to PATTY MELTS on rye full of grilled onions, to SOURDOUGH MELTS with mushrooms, we have YOUR burger. If you fancy hoagies, try the PRIMO BURGER, a memorable creation with mustard, red onions and jalapeno juice poored over the sizzling hamburger meat for a great taste, or try the PHILLY BURGER. If you fancy pitas, try the PITA BURGER or if you want just veggies how about the PITA SALAD sandwich or the GARDEN BURGER offered in two versions on a pita or on a bun with our own recipe of freshly made greek sauce. On the other hand if you prefer Mexican flavors, run to the border with our MEXICAN BURGER or our newest yet undiscoverd creation, the POBLANO MELT for a sensational taste.
Our fries are always cooked in CANOLA OIL, our onions, bell peppers and mushrooms are grilled in OLIVE OIL. Our meat is received fresh daily and is then molded into the several unique patties for our menu. We make our own GREEK SAUCE, HAMMER buns, and SPICY mix for our SPICY FRIES, a best seller for over fifteen years. We bake our cookies in store and we make a great BAKLAVA.
If you want to try something totally different than anything you have tasted before then you may want to check out our SPINACH QUESADILLAS. Another BURGER BOY Signature Creation that can be enjoyed hot OR cold. If you like spinach, you will be delighted with this item: plentiful amount of melted monterey jack and cheddar cheese engulfing generous portions of fresh bright green baby leaf spinach, mixed with sparse amounts of lightly spiced poblano peppers and lots of tasty feta cheese, all encapsulated within the confines of two large and nicely grilled soft flour tortillas.
We have recently intoduced the FIESTA CHICKEN, a delicious sandwich with mayonaise, tomatoes, red onions, quacamole, jalapenos and swiss cheese. The bold flavor of jalapenos is artfully neutralized by the fresh red tomatoes and the hot melted swiss while blended seamlessly with our quacamole mix and our tender grilled chicken breast thus creating a light yet exceptional taste that would please almost any customer. We have also introduced the CARB-deLIGHT salad as our response to the newer dietary fashion with an emphasis as always in flavor. You receive a generous portion of lettuce and tomatoes with shredded monterey jack and mild cheddar cheese topped with fresh ground beef, lightly seasoned and full of flavor and paired with mild picante sause, as always to the side, giving you full control to the final composition. To that end we also offer a choise of traditional dressings as ranch, italian, e.t.c.. As for our other salads, you couldn't find a better GREEK SALAD or GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD anywhere in the Brazos valley at any restaurant for any price. Nobody even comes close to offering you the flavors, textures and satisfaction we do.
Nowadays it is very common for any restaurant to boast that they have the best food in town. It is a cliche. BURGER BOY does not do that. We do not have the best burgers in town. What we have is simply the best burgers in the land and we are not the ones making the claim. Our store in Aggieland is famous all across the country. From L.A. to Boston and from Chicago to Austin we are known all over as one of the ten best eating places to experience in the USA, as published by Sports Illustrated on a special issue in September of 2003.
All in all, BURGER BOY represents an exceptional dining value with the added convenience of DELIVERY for a very reasonable amount of money. You may dine at many places but there will always be the one: BURGER BOY.
